The project aims to build bridges between new communities through a range of lantern making workshops, inspired by the county’s museum collections. The collection will be used as a platform to engage communities in conversations around the ideas of ‘place’ and ‘identity’.
The completed lanterns will be paraded into the town centre, on the festival night by the community members who made them. The procession will culminate in a public display where residents can view lanterns made by other community groups.
