This project was funded by Arts Work, Arts Council England and Oxfordshire County Council.
In August 2016 OYAP Trust worked with Let’s Play in Banbury to provide creative activities for young people with disabilities during the summer holidays as a part of the Oxfordshire County Council's Disability Breaks Programme.
Over the five different sessions, participants were able to discover and enjoy different aspects of the creative arts. There was a ‘pick and mix’ selection of activities to choose from, including a graffiti wall, animation station, music making, print your own tea towel and more. Some of the participants even worked towards their Arts Award certificates, including Discover, Explore and Bronze level awards.
This project was a part of the ROAR Disability Youth Arts Festival at the Ark T Centre in Oxford. The festival was a showcase of various creative projects programmed through the 2016 summer holiday, especially for young people with disabilities in Oxfordshire.
